There’s no question about the influence Ankit Tiwari commands in India’s musical landscape. The multifaceted playback singer and composer (born 6 March 1986 in Kanpur) has risen through the ranks of film music to establish himself as one of Bollywood's most marketable stars. He began working with Pradip Sarkar on jingles and television shows before hitting the big screen with compositions for Do Dooni Chaar (2010) and Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster (2011). Developing a flair for writing songs that deep-dive into the nuances of love and separation, Tiwari received wide acclaim for his contribution to the 2013 hit-laden blockbuster Aashiqui 2.
