Rapper Gravity and producer Outfly—aka Akshay Poojary and Maharshi Jani respectively—take a sharp sonic turn on Moonbounce, an album as reflective as their 2023 effort Supervillain was raucous. Outfly’s bouncy beats merge lanes across pop, dance and hip-hop as Gravity switches between singing and rapping, mostly about inaccessible love—as such, it’s a rare romance-themed record in Indian rap. The duo end proceedings with a couple of standout tracks: The irresistible “Ulfat” is decidedly more upbeat than its predecessors, while the dark electro of “Ankahi” rings closer to their usual sound.
