The debut release of an all-star band fronted by veteran Indipop chanteuse Vasudha Sharma is an entirely new brand fusion in pop-rock. Bedesi sees the singer straying from her past style to focus on India's diverse musical heritage. Opener "Ganga" is a traditional Bhojpuri folk standard reconstructed in joyful detail via cymbals, tabla, flute and keyboards, while "Rahiman" is an ode to the ancient wisdom of Rahim with a lively electric guitar interlude adding a jolt of excitement to the EP's powerful undertones.
