Therr Maitz cover such a wide spectrum of music that they verge on unclassifiable. As a youth, frontman Anton Belyayev studied jazz, which deeply informs the band's earliest tracks. With time, the backbone of Therr Maitz's music has grown to encompass elements of breakbeat, drum 'n' bass, disco, trip-hop and funk. Later albums combine Belyayev's commanding, sensuous vocals with lyrics sung almost exclusively in English. A tireless, riotous live act, the group has found that years of touring have only made their show a more cohesive and enriching experience.
