Rona Kenan Essentials

Beginning her career at the tender age of 17, Rona Kenan soon evolved from an alternative rock princess into a prominent singer-songwriter in Israel, bagging numerous awards for her songwriting and working with top local musicians, such as Eran Zur and Gidi Gov. Her lyrics are heavily influenced by Israeli poetry, inspired by likes of Yona Wallach and David Avidan, whereas her melodies range from catchy light rock ("Hapaam Ha-achrona", "Enaim Zarot") to more pensive compositions ("Lihiot Nahon"). Above it all floats Kenan's soothing voice—and the magnetic presence of her guitar.
