In just a few years, Nasrin Kadri grew from a lauded graduate of TV’s Eyal Golan Is Calling You into an Israeli pop superstar. Inspired by her Arab heritage, she steeped her eponymous debut LP with a revitalising richness. She’s also demonstrated her commitment to opening new horizons in Mizrahi music, using slow-burning electronics when covering Ofra Haza and exploring Latin influences as well as club-centric sounds—the latter alongside pop-rap duo Static & Ben El.
