David Broza Essentials

As a youth in Spain, David Broza was heavily influenced by the local music and culture. His soft voice and virtuoso guitar playing quickly gained him a following in the late '70s and early '80s—and then Haisha Sheiti (My Woman) came out in 1983, and his career took off. To this day, the recording is one of Israel's top-selling albums, reaching quintuple-Platinum status. Broza has since had a long and successful career that's included a posthumous collaboration with Townes Van Zandt and a recording uniting Israeli and Palestinian artists. His sunrise concerts at Masada are the stuff of legends.
