The classically trained Daniel Salomon understands how a flourish of piano can create a mood—and he's used those skills to create some of the most memorable Israeli pop songs of the last two decades. Salomon began his career as the pianist for Israeli superstar Aviv Geffen. With his eponymous 2002 debut, which introduced the gorgeous “Adif (Preferable)” and the heart-wrenching ballad “Ba Mike'ev (Coming from Pain)” to the Israeli music scene, Salomon was on his way to solo stardom. His long-time duet project with singer Dana Adini brought a new but no less emotional dimension to his work.
