Daklon has flirted with the spotlight since the early ‘60s. With a vast repertoire of Eastern dance-floor anthems, devout religious songs, Greek pop reworked in Hebrew as well as pure rock 'n' roll, he's played a major part in popularising Mizrahi music. The artist teamed up with singer Haim Moshe for the successful Tzliley Hakerem and found his star shone just as bright when he went solo in the ‘80s. Whether he's reminiscing about the Tel Aviv of yore or reviving Yemenite poems and psalms, Daklon has left an indelible mark, thanks to his distinctive vocals.
