Born Karolina Myroslavivna Kuiek in Ukraine, singer Ani Lorak broke into the music scene at just 14. Lorak's first album, I Want to Fly, dropped in 1996, and she went on to tear up the stage at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008, coming second in a performance that pushed her career to a new plateau. The vocalist has long satisfied listeners with a potent blend of catchy pop anthems and heartfelt ballads. Later releases have taken on a more mainstream European sound. After two decades in the spotlight, Lorak continues to be one of Ukraine's most influential women.
