Storm

This Los Angeles-based quartet, formed in 1978 by Jeanette Chase (vocals), Lear Stevens (guitar), Ronni Hansen (bass) and David Devon (drums), played hi-tech hard-rock, characterized by Lear's Brian May-like guitar sound and the powerful vocals of Chase. They incorporated elements of Queen, Van Halen and Styx within complex, and at times classically styled, arrangements. Their second album moved more towards AOR, with the inclusion of more lightweight material and even folk influences.
