In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was six years old and was watching Stars In Their Eyes with my parents. As soon as I heard the Dusty Springfield contestant singing 'Son Of A Preacher Man' I was captivated and decided I wanted to learn the song. It was the first song I learned. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Baxter Dury, Prince of Tears Big Thief, Two Hands Timber Timbre, Sincerely, Future Pollution Two Hands came out the year I traveled to the US and saw Big Thief in concert, reminds me of that time. Baxter Dury and Timber Timbre are two amazing male performers with specific and poetic lyrics that get into the nitty gritty depths of humanity. Tell us why you chose this song. “Love Will Come Rushing” This was my last single and it was written as a way of re-establishing my faith in myself. I could either be humiliated and go into a corner, or take on the world and express who I am. I directed the production and got a unique world music/ pop sound What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When I got selected to be one of the final 6 contestants for the Irish Eurovision entry. I collaborated with an Estonian songwriter and flew to Helsinki to record the vocals of my release 'Wild'. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would like to finish my debut Leila Jane album this year, and I would love to tour the USA.
