About Bill Wyman
Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman enjoyed success with the band but was not able to pursue his songwriting ambitions, so he released three solo albums during the 1970s-'80s. His witty 1982 single "(Si Si) Je Suis Un Rock Star" was the highest U.K. chart single for any solo member of the Rolling Stones. Following his retirement from the band in 1993, Wyman concentrated on running the chain of hamburger restaurants known as Sticky Fingers before founding the all-star Rhythm Kings in 1997, essaying note perfect cover versions of blues, jazz, and R&B standards, alongside Wyman’s pastiche originals. Wyman has continued to record and tour with this ensemble on a regular basis.
