Beethoven Academy Orchestra

Though the Beethoven Academy Orchestra is still relatively young, it has firmly established itself through recordings and performances at major festivals and concert venues. Elżbieta Penderecka and Marcin Klejdysz have shared artistic direction since the orchestra's founding, and Jacek Kaspszyk was named principal conductor in 2013. The following year, the Beethoven Academy Orchestra opened the new Krakow Arena with the program "Pixar in Concert." The orchestra has developed a continuing relationship with composer Ihab Darwish, becoming the first ensemble to record his music with its 2018 release, Waves of My Life. In 2022, the orchestra was heard on the video game soundtrack Marvel: Future Revolution, and it issued the second and third volumes of its Muzyczny Slad Krakowa ("The Musical Trace of Krakow") series, featuring the music of Krzysztof Penderecki and Andrzej Zarycki, respectively.
