In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My father is a guitarist and singer — I spent my childhood at his concerts. At home, the same records played on repeat: Toto's "Africa," Al Jarreau. I started on piano to compose, then switched to guitar. Music was the language of the house. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Al Jarreau, Al Jarreau Works Donny Hathaway, A Donny Hathaway Collection Earth, Wind & Fire, The Essential Earth, Wind & Fire The album that taught me what soul really is. Hathaway's voice on "A Song for You" is the reason I sing the way I sing. A masterclass in restraint — the band breathes with him, nothing is forced. I listen to it before every vocal session.
