Inscape, Isochronous’s last album before they shortened their name to ISO, brought a shift in pace as their dark synth-rock sensibilities gave way to a progressive pop sound. By the time they laid these tracks down at Cape Town's Sound & Motion Studios, fans already knew them intimately, thanks to earlier festival gigs where the band played the deliriously melodic sing-a-long chorus of “The Tempest" and the anthemic "Oxygen". Meanwhile, Richard Brokensha's voice, light and ethereal, cuts through the clamour to leave a lasting impression.
