A son of Bulgarian parents, Shem-Tov Levi has always flirted with musical styles from the Balkans. After an eight-year hiatus, he took his influences a step further on Stations with his new Shem-Tov Levi Ensemble and created a fusion of jazz, Balkan, Middle Eastern and even baroque sounds. Blending swingy, rhythmic vibes with desert wind serenity, the album exemplifies Levi's individuality as a composer.
