Released in 1992 shortly after Yossi Elephant's sudden death, Elephant is as beautiful as it is heartbreaking. The album was completed posthumously by Yoav Shadma, but is infused with an exhilarating live guitar sound—as if all the musicians were in the studio together—and blazing riffs in accelerating rock jams. Elephant's low, raspy growl is the centrepiece of the record, but rockers like "Nofel Medamem" manage to steal a bit of the spotlight.
