Bound together by soul, the stars and fast-rising artists in this playlist are remaking the R&B sound in their own image—with a proud British twist. South London’s Sasha Keable embodies this to a T in her Apple Music Sessions performance of “Hold Up”, a scathing breakup track we haven’t stopped playing since it was first released in April of 2024. For this live version, Keable called on Flames Collective, a talented young choir whose voices complement the very choice words she has for her ex and the woman he stepped out on her with. “I chose [‘Hold Up’] because it gave me the opportunity to use the choir,” Keable told Apple Music. “And I thought it would be an interesting take on the song.” We’ll say!
