London band Talk Talk evolved from '80s New Wave purveyors to post-rock pioneers. Pulling in elements of jazz, classical, Krautrock and ambient, they inspired a diverse class of avant-garde artists: Radiohead's “Everything in Its Right Place” weaves together a lush, futuristic tapestry of sound, and Sigur Rós construct their own beautifully dark world on the ethereal “Svefn-G-Englar”.
