Taking his name from Elvis Presley's character in the film Loving You, Dick Rivers, a.k.a. French-born Hervé Fornieri, was a classic showman. He rose to prominence in the '60s, singing swaying love songs that drove women wild. Releasing more than 35 albums over the ensuing decades, Rivers explored rock 'n' roll, country, yé-yé and more—all while maintaining his trademark flair.
