New York-based noise-rock group Uniform combine multiple schools of noise -- industrial music, thrash metal, and power electronics -- to create an all-consuming wall of catharsis. After debuting with a self-released EP in 2014, the duo released acclaimed albums on labels such as Alter and Sacred Bones, each release harsher and angrier than the last. Following the politically charged 2017 full-length Wake in Fright, Uniform toured with Portland-based duo the Body, and the two acts began working together, starting with 2018's Mental Wounds Not Healing. Following 2020's Shame, Uniform recorded a full-length with Japanese band Boris titled Bright New Disease (2023).
