The Seven Fields of Aphelion

About The Seven Fields of Aphelion

The Seven Fields of Aphelion is the stage name of Maureen "Maux" Boyle, keyboard player for Pennsylvania-based experimental indie rockers Black Moth Super Rainbow. A native of Pittsburgh, Boyle joined the group in the early 2000s. Her solo work, which largely eschews the ramshackle chaos of BMSR for a more ambient/neo-folk approach, was first made public in 2010 with the arrival of Periphery, which was released via Graveface Records. Boyle's sophomore long-player under the Seven Fields of Aphelion moniker, the Rad Cult-issued Keep the Ocean Inside, followed in 2017. ~ James Christopher Monger
