The Chinese Stars

Arab On Radar and Six Finger Satellite were both respected noise outfits of the 1990s, but in 2002, AOR frontman Eric Paul and drummer Craig Kureck joined forces with SFS bassist Richard Ivan Pelletier, added guitarist Paul Vieria, and put a new spin on their slanted, chaotic indie-rock. In 2003, Chinese Stars released their debut EP, TURBO MATTRESS, which displayed a more rhythmic version of their prior incarnations. The Three One G label then released 2004’s A RARE SENSATION and 2007’s LISTEN TO YOUR LEFT BRAIN, while the band secured a place in the contemporary noise scene, alongside bands like Daughters and An Albatross.
