About Steve Reid
Prolific percussionist and producer Steve Reid was a co-founding member of the enormously popular contemporary jazz group the Rippingtons. Around the time of the group's 1987 formation, he joined Supertramp for a brief period and appeared on their Free as a Bird and Live 88 albums. Reid issued his solo debut, the worldbeat-influenced Bamboo Forest, in 1994. The follow-up, Water Sign, appeared two years later. Subsequent efforts included 1997's Mysteries and 1999's Passion in Paradise. Dream Scapes appeared in 2001. ~ Jason Ankeny
