Schneider Kacirek

German electronica duo Schneider Kacirek comprise seasoned boundary-pushing musicians Stefan Schneider on bass and an arsenal of electronics and percussionist Sven Kacirek. Schneider spent years working in collaboration with members of Cluster, Neu!, Faust, and other founding fathers of Krautrock, as well as working closely on projects with Arto Lindsay, Saint Etienne, and the Pastels. Apart from that, he helped found indie electronic trendsetting bands To Rococo Rot and Kreidler. Kacirek released several solo albums but also worked in collaboration with improvisers and electronic musicians like Hauschka and Marc Ribot. ~ Fred Thomas
