About Ronan Cavanagh

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I can remember buying on tape U2's first album Boy when I was about eight. And that was probably an important step! My mother played classical music on car journeys, and my Dad ballads. I loved songs then, and even more now. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Derek & The Dominos, Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs (40th Anniversary Edition) Remastered Mike Oldfield, Tubular Bells Shaun Davey, The Relief of Derry Symphony (feat. Ulster Orchestra) I have been listening to Tubular Bells for 25 years and have never stopped hearing it anew. The Relief of Derry Symphony traverses all of the emotions.I love the emotional intensity of Clapton's Layla sessions. I could list 20 more albums... Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “October Sky” I recorded 18 songs during 2020-2022 and was always happy with this one. I like the way it journeys start to finish, it keeps evolving in each section. And my performances are nearly OK on this one!
