About Pete Droge
Although singer-songwriter Pete Droge hails from Seattle and entered the music industry via his friendship with Pearl Jam, his music is less akin to grunge than to the roots-oriented Americana of Neil Young and John Mellencamp. Droge’s debut, NECKTIE SECOND, which featured the single “If You Don’t Love Me (I’ll Kill Myself),” was released in 1994, followed by FIND A DOOR in ’96. The artist changed labels for 1998’s SPACEY AND SHAKIN, then released two more albums for the Puzzle Tree label in 2003 and ’06 respectively. Droge's widest exposure came when he had a brief cameo in Russell Crowe’s film ALMOST FAMOUS, where he sang a duet with Elaine Summers, the two ostensibly representing Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris.
