Nurit Stark

About Nurit Stark

Violinist Nurit Stark has been especially active in Germany, focusing most of her activity on contemporary music. Stark was a youthful prodigy, and at 16, she performed Paganini's difficult Violin Concerto No. 1 with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Stark launched her recording career in 2009 with an album featuring music for violin and piano by Busoni and Enescu. Her duet partner on that release was pianist Cédric Pescia, with whom she has continued to perform frequently, both as a duo and in the Trio Stark that they created. Stark released the album Bartók, Ligeti, Veress, Eötvös in 2022. She has been professor of violin at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart since 2019.
