Twenty-five years and a bagful of accolades in, KRU brought the curtains down on their own extraordinary journey with a three-night performance at the prestigious Istana Budaya in 2018. Brothers Norman, Edry and Yusry Abdul Halim first emerged as a fresh-faced rap trio in 1992, before evolving into the pop juggernaut that shook up the scene by always dreaming and going big—from extravagant concert productions to creative experiments, to building their own label and stable of artists. With tunes like “Awas” and “Fanatik”, it’s no wonder that they remain as relevant to pop culture today.
