Joseph Nolan

About Joseph Nolan

Organist Joseph Nolan was born in Britain, served as organist at the Chapel Royal St. James's Palace and often performed at Buckingham Palace, and has specialized in core Parisian repertory. He moved to Australia in 2008 to take a job at St. George's Cathedral in Perth. Both in England and in Australia, Nolan has concertized extensively in addition to his liturgical duties. After making recordings for the Herald and ASV labels in the early 2000s, Nolan joined the Signum roster with his Organ of Buckingham Palace Ballroom album in 2008. His recording activities have been devoted mostly to French music. His complete cycle of Charles-Marie Widor's organ symphonies appeared to critical acclaim between 2012 and 2014. ~ James Manheim
