About Jim Sonefeld

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories was playing along with Elton John's "Saturday Night's Alright", beating the couch cushions as I held makeshift drumsticks. The musical was magical and the idea that I could play along with rock music was inspiring! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ben Folds, What Matters Most Elton John, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road 2014 Remaster Rush, Moving Pictures (Remastered) The stories, the melodies, the warmth, the musical stylings, the album artwork! Ben Folds is truth and mystery and memory wrapped in 4 minute musical gifts! Rush brings energy, skill, smart lyrics and my drumming dreams for a life of air-drumming! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Unafraid” I love the story of looking back at failures and fears and knowing I don't have to continue to hold them and bring them into my future. It's my hope for success, which to me means trying my hardest, being authentic and original, and being unashamed What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I will always remember playing abroad with my band Hootie & the Blowfish and being in awe of the crowds that supported us thousands of miles away. Even through language barriers our songs communicated something special. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I don't keep a bucket list. But, every time I get in front of even a few fans, to sing, to tell stories, to bring a smile to their face, or to make them laugh and feel a connection, THOSE are my bucket list!
