About Jérémie Rhorer

French harpsichordist and conductor Jérémie Rhorer attended the Paris Conservatoire, where he studied harpsichord, organ, flute, and composition, and worked with Emil Tchakarov, William Christie, and Marc Minkowski. He co-founded Les Musiciens de la Prée with Pejman Memarzadeh in 1995, and co-founded Le Cercle de l'Harmonie with Julien Chauvin in 2005. Rhorer made his first concert appearance in the United States conducting the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia in 2008, which he followed with other debut performances, leading Le Cercle de l'Harmonie at the Barbican in 2011 and the BBC Proms in 2016. He has recorded for Erato, Virgin Classics, Naïve, and Alpha, among other labels. ~ Blair Sanderson
