Founding members Eglantine Gouzy and Frederic Landini had exchanged musical ideas formally and informally prior to their work in Get Back Guinozzi!. While Get Back Guinozzi! shared much of the fuzzy, electronic sensibilities of Gouzy's early work, the group would ultimately prove to be a far more energetic and fun-loving affair. Formed in 2007 out of a long-distance collaboration between Landini and Gouzy (who at that point were living in Paris and London, respectively), Get Back Guinozzi! eventually expanded into a full-fledged band. The group’s debut single, "Low Files Tropical" b/w "Police and Thieves," was released on Fat Cat Records in September 2009.
