Captain T (Tom Hunnicutt)

About Captain T (Tom Hunnicutt)

According to unconfirmed and unreliable sources, like Hollywood Gazza T. Jabbar, Minister of Propaganda, Captain T is either an ex-CIA trained assassin/operative who decided to lyrically expose the government's legacy of covert activity, including knowledge of extraterrestrials, or he's a master of propaganda entertainment with a wicked sense of humor and innovative musicianship. Cloaked in a shroud of campy mystery, the story behind Captain T and his cohorts reads like something out of the Official Conspiracy Theorists' Handbook. The tales loom large, from Madd Doctor's alleged 1958 alien abduction from a military prison and his unexplained return thirty years later without having aged a single day, to bassist Matt Pichel's biography, describing him as an "international spy, playboy and millionaire who works with New York City's homeless when he's not busy saving the world from mass destruction." Captain T's debut, U.S. Aliens (1997), mixes high energy, techno rock with competent singing and imaginative lyrics. If nothing else, Captain T's appearance on the music scene earns high points for an inventive use of shtick rock. ~ Roxanne Blanford
