Astream

About Astream

Joining their forces in Sweden in the early ‘90s, Astream first counted with a line-up consisting of Robban (guitar), Henke (drums) and Champ Asenov (bass, vocals). In 1995, and after playing countless shows in Sweden, the team decided on recording its first disc, the EP Marvellous Tomorrow. Later that year Ante Holmqvist joined the crew substituting Henke at the drum section. An intense touring season followed and within a short time, Astream finally managed to enter the studio and record their debut full-length, Woodfish. Steadily conquering an always growing fan-base, not only in Sweden but also in the rest of Europe, the trio secured a spot on tours alongside bands like Refused, Satanic Surfers or Randy. Jumps, Giggles and Shouts, their sophomore album, contributed to extend even more their incisive mark within Sweden's flaming punk rock scene. In 2000, Astream returned to the studio to record Good Times/Bad Times, their third major disc. ~ Mario Mesquita Borges
