Outer Dusky
EDITORS’ NOTES
Diverse nocturnal beats and refined roof-raisers lay all manner of potential dance floors to waste on this second album from London duo Dusky. As proficient in deep house as they are in ‘90s-tinged breakbeat (see “Ingrid Is a Hybrid”), Alfie Granger-Howell and Nick Harriman once again offer an alternative to the cookie-cutter EDM banger. “Runny Nose” is four minutes of smoky 3am euphoria, and “Sort It Out Sharon” invites a flame-spitting Wiley to the party.
