About Yotam Silberstein

Israeli-born, New York-based Yotam Silberstein, hailed as one of the best jazz guitarists of his generation, plays music deeply rooted in bebop and blues but also in the musics of South America, North Africa, and the Middle East, which he has studied extensively. Silberstein put out his first American recording, the quartet album Next Page, in 2009. His first deep dive into Brazilian jazz came on 2011's Brasil, and Future Memories, featuring John Patitucci, followed in 2019. The guitarist then turned his attention again to Latin jazz, leading to the albums En el Jardín (2020, in duo with Carlos Aguirre) and Universos (2022). An album of Standards appeared in 2024, once again featuring Patitucci, alongside fellow legends Billy Hart and George Coleman.
