About Slimelife Shawty

With cosigns from many of the city’s top rappers—including Young Thug—Slimelife Shawty is one of Atlanta’s brightest hip-hop talents. ∙ Slimelife Shawty first put himself on the rap radar with his guest spots on other artists’ songs, including Lil Keed’s street anthem “Blicky Blicky” and Lil Gotit’s “Drip Here.” ∙ He dropped his first major release, 100 Reasons, in 2019 and quickly followed it up with the hit singles “Bankroll” and “40 Bars.” ∙ Chicago drill artist Lil Durk appeared on multiple Slimelife Shawty tracks, including 2019’s “Savage” and 2020’s “Brazy Life.” ∙ In 2020, he released the single “Don’t Worry (Clappers)” and kept the momentum going by enlisting Detroit rapper 42 Dugg for a “Clappers” remix a few months later.
