David Rosenboom

About David Rosenboom

Pianist, violinist. Studied at University of Illinois with Salvatore Martirano. Early work in brainwaves and nervous system, cross-cultural collaborations, compositional algorithms. Dean of the School of Music and Co-Director of the Center for Experiments in Art, Information and Technology at CAL Arts since 1990. Taught at Mills College 1979-1990, Professor of Music, Head of the Music Department, Director of the Center for Contemporary Music, and held the Darius Milhaud Chair from 1987 to 1990. Worked and taught at Center for Creative and Performing Arts at SUNY Buffalo, the Electric Circus, York University in Toronto - Professor of Music and Interdisciplinary Studies, University of Illinois, NYU, Banff Center for the Arts, Simon Fraser University, Aesthetic Research Centre of Canada, San Francisco Art Institute, California College of Arts and Crafts. ~ "Blue" Gene Tyranny
