Pa' las Vibras 2

Pa' las Vibras 2

Back in 2019, when Herencia de Patrones dropped Pa las Vibras, música mexicana was still on the verge of the contemporary genre renaissance. Nonetheless, it was an impactful release from the Rancho Humilde act, yielding fan favourites like “Pasajes de la Vida” and “El Homie”. Nearly five years later, with several successful singles under their proverbial belts, the group returns with this concise sequel. A shorter but no less potent instalment, Pa’ las Vibras 2 contains eight tracks that both signify and advance the now-popular style of corridos they helped usher in. The lyrics remain brash and illuminating, the confidence behind “Buena Vida Mala Fama” and “Heisenbern” backed by an undeniable knowledge of illicit doings. The 420-friendly hustle plays no small role throughout, perhaps most notably with the so-called backpack boys on “Compa P”. Closer “G Wrapz” nods to a notable subset of car culture, yet another thematic tool that HP wield with ease.
