Nashville-based Haley & Michaels are the country-pop singing and songwriting duo of Shannon Haley and Ryan Michaels, recognized for their strong, blended vocal harmonies and affectionate tone. Both Bay Area natives of California, they met in Nashville, found they shared common influences in Garth Brooks and James Taylor, and wrote the song "The Price I Pay" together. Released as their debut single in 2013, its music video found attention on the Internet and led to awards including Artist of the Year from the Nashville Independent Music Awards. Their self-released eponymous debut appeared in the fall of 2014 and included the song "Just Another Love Song," which was co-written by Lonestar's Richie McDonald, who also sang on the single. The couple married in the spring of 2015 just as their wedding ballad "Giving It All (To You)" was hitting the country song charts. It was featured on the U.S. morning TV show Kathie Lee & Hoda that summer.
