You'd need to look long and hard to find a more venomous kiss-off than 2004's "Ojala Que Te Mueras", the first U.S. hit by these norteño stars. Formed in Monterrey, Mexico, in 1993 by singing accordionist Beto Zapata and bajo sexto player Pepe Elizondo, Pesado more often explore the romantic side of norteño, with love songs aplenty—including a pair of albums dedicated to wives and to mothers. They also prove themselves staunch, vibrant traditionalists in a jubilant live remake of Los Cadetes de Linares' "Cielo Azul, Cielo Nublado".
