About Taliesin Orchestra
Led by keyboardist Trammell Starks in tandem with conductor, producer and arranger Charles Sayre, the Taliesin Orchestra rose to success with a series of symphonic albums reprising the work of some of New Age music's most popular artists. Their debut Orinoco Flow: The Music of Enya appeared in 1996, followed a year later by Forbidden Forest: The Music of George Winston. 1997 also saw the release of Anthem, a break from Taliesin Orchestra tradition with its focus on re-interpreting classic rock hits. The music of Enya, however, was again the subject for 1998's Maiden of Mysteries and provided a "best of" disc for the group in 2002. Meanwhile, the Taliesin Orchestra was rather quiet in the following years, reappearing in 2002 with their gospel collection Sacred. ~ Jason Ankeny
