The KLF Essentials

The KLF Essentials

The KLF aren’t like other bands. Formed by two record execs in the late 80s, they subverted dance music using aural Dadaist cut-ups while drawing upon the ideas of the situationists and the chaos of the discordians. Incredibly, they scored two No.1 hits: first as The Timelords with “Doctorin’ the Tardis”, their 1988 mash-up of the Doctor Who theme and the Glitter Band, and then as The KLF with 1991’s bona-fide techno banger “3AM Eternal”. They (un)ceremoniously burnt a million pounds in a shocking art prank and deleted their catalogue in 1992, only for their work to mysteriously reappear online in 2021. KLF is gonna rock you … again.
