Son Lux Essentials

Son Lux began as the solo experimental project of composer Ryan Lott, who was born in Denver, Colorado, in 1979. He quickly established himself as an innovator of electronic music, pop, and post-rock alike, seamlessly melding the three on his debut LP, 2008’s At War With Walls & Mazes. In 2015, Rafiq Bhatia and Ian Chang joined the band for Bones, giving Lott more room to experiment with his voice and dive into styles like electro-pop, industrial music, and more. Outside of original albums, Son Lux has also become celebrated for two film scores, even earning a Grammy nod for work on the 2022 film soundtrack for Everything Everywhere All at Once.
