Under Cover: Takao Kisugi

Since 1976, Takao Kisugi has enjoyed success in Japan both as a performer and a writer whose songs have been covered by a diverse array of musicians, including Hatsumi Shibata and Hiroko Yakushimaru. Influenced heavily by ‘70s Irish hitmaker Gilbert O'Sullivan—with whom he's written and recorded—Kisugi is a master of lush, sweeping pop.
