In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Listening to Beatles songs on a beaten up old cassette from my parents. The tape got twisted at some point, and I was fascinated by the sounds being made. I still like both the Beatles and weird sounds. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Cinerama, Disco Volante Phil Ochs, Pleasures of the Harbor Scott Walker, Scott 3 It's very hard to pick just 3 albums, but this will do! They're great examples of the combination of great songwriting and experimentation that I've always tried to do. I also like singular figures that blaze their own trail. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “A Wasp in the Rain” It's not possible to achieve a musical vision with 100% success, but this is as close as I've come. I'm immensely proud of the song, the music, the production, the lyrics... everything came together here. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing in an arena as a solo folk act. I was a support act, but nevertheless it was an unforgettable experience for me. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I just want to continue writing and recording music on my own terms, and hopefully grow an appreciative audience. And maybe play live again someday, but I can live without the anxiety that entails!
