About Joolz Gale
Joolz Gale is a British conductor. After an early period of learning the violin, Gale studied music at Oxford University and the Royal College of Music, concentrating on voice. After graduating in 2007, Gale became an apprentice to the Monteverdi Choir, touring extensively as a soloist and choir member. He received encouragement from John Eliot Gardiner to pursue conducting, and conducted the Bamberg Symphony in the 2008-2009 season. He has served as an assistant to Roger Norrington and performed across Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Gale conducted his hand-picked Ensemble Mini for a recording of a chamber version of Mahler's Ninth Symphony, which was released in 2014 by Ars Produktion.
