Delyana Lazarova

Conductor, violinist, and composer Delyana Lazarova is a versatile figure who handles Eastern European and Russian music, Viennese Classical works, and contemporary music with equal facility. She has conducted orchestras all over Europe and in the U.S., where she was partly trained. Lazarova won the Siemens Hallé International Conductors Competition, and she served as assistant conductor to Sir Mark Elder at the Hallé Orchestra in Britain. She was also music director of the Hallé Youth Orchestra in 2022 and 2023. In 2023, Lazarova made her recording debut, leading the Hallé Orchestra in an album of works by Dobrinka Tabakova.
